RHOBH Dorit Kemsley Ordered To Mediation In Swimsuit Line Lawsuit

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley is in the middle of a lawsuit with her former business partner, Ryan Horne, and the judge in the case has told the two that they need to come to an agreement. The judge said that Kemsley and Horne need to meet within the next 20 days to “try and hash out their issues,” or else they will head to trial.

According to All About TRH, the judge told said that the reality star and her former business partner need to “arrange for a private mediation session and split the costs.” But, they both have the option of showing up in person or having an attorney “with full settlement authority” go to the meeting in their place.

And, if an agreement isn’t reached, the judge has scheduled a trial date of January 6, 2020.

This all began in August 2017 when Horne struck a deal with Kemsley and her husband, Paul (PK), to make a line of bathing suits. In legal documents that Horne filed, he says that each of them owned a third of the business.

Horne also claims that he fronted Dorit and PK “nearly $130k in merchandise plus $75k for other expenses.” But, when Kemsley sold the bikinis for a significant profit, they didn’t pay Horne. But Dorit and PK say that Horne never gave them any money. Horne is now suing them for $200,000.

Not long after Horne filed the lawsuit, a friend of his confronted Kemsley during her vacation in the Bahamas with her RHOBH co-stars.

There are also rumors of marital issues between Dorit and PK, with insiders saying they are having money trouble and are struggling to sell their Beverly Hills home. Life & Style is reporting that Dorit is a big spender, and PK is having a hard time stopping her.

“[Dorit] acts like she’s on the same level as Gwyneth Paltrow or Jennifer Lopez,” says an insider. “She’s hired a glam squad she can’t afford and is dropping a fortune on designer clothes.”

This has led to money fights between Dorit and PK. He is having a hard time saying no, and the financial strain is causing tension between the couple.

The Kemsley’s listed their home in 2017 for $12.75 million but cut the price by $4 million when they didn’t get any offers. Now, it is still on the market with a price of $7.995 million.

And, to add to the money trouble, last month, a man filed court documents to register a judgment of an unpaid $1.2 million loan and is hoping to begin the process of seizing PK’s assets to cover what he owes.
