Naomi Osaka Biography

Naomi Osaka, a Japanese tennis player, startled the world with her technique and style from a young age. The talented girl has accomplished a massive success at an early age and has achieved an outstanding rank in the field of women's Tennis. She regards American tennis player Serena Williams as her role model.        

Naomi Osaka was born in hūō-Ku, Osaka, Japan, on , to her mother Tamaki Osaka and father Leonard "San" Françoi. She has one older sister named Mari Osaka, who is also a successful tennis player.   

Naomi belongs to the assorted ethnicity as her father Leonard "San" Françoiis is of Haitian ancestry and her mother Tamaki is Japanese. She holds both Japanese and American nationality but chose to represent Japan.  

At the age of three, she moved to The United States Of America to live with her granny in Florida, USA and studied at Later, Naomi attended Broward Virtual High School for her higher education.      

Moving on to her career, her father was the one who registered her name in a Japanese Tennis Association, where she got an opportunity to learn and play tennis. Naomi played her first qualifying match on , on her 14th birthday. 

At the age of fifteen, she got the opportunity to play professional tennis in . With her extraordinary talent, she skipped the junior level and jumped to ITF Women's Circuit, which is a series of a professional tournament. 

At that time, she did not win any professional tournament, but made a good reputation for her career, as she was listed in good rank on the lower tours in 2015.

In September 2016, she improvised drastically by reaching the finals of Tokyo's Toray pan-Pacific open tournament, which was a huge turning point in her career. Thus, she was named the Newcomer of the Year. 

In 2017, she was listed in the place of Top 70 of WTA world rankings and was also ranked Top 20 best players of the league of tennis by her exceptional performance in the game. 

On March 18, 2018, she finally won the Indian Wells Open which was held in Califonia, the United States of America. In the same year, she won the US Open which was a milestone in her career of tennis as she beat her role model Serena Williams in the league and ranked 1st.

As of December 2018, her style and techniques are compared with famous tennis players like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, and Boris Becker.

Moving towards her personal life, she is not married, and possibly not dating anyone yet. It seems like Naomi does not feel love & affairs as a priority as she is very much focused on making her career. Also, none of her Instagram posts gives us any evidence of her being in a relationship. 

In one of her interviews, Osaka stated that she is shy and reserved, thinks that she is antisocial. Naomi believes her behaviors and character is inherited from her ancestors as she believes in the eastern culture of Japanese.

As of January 2019, she stands at 5th position in WTA ranking while other best players like Caroline Wozniacki, Elina Svitolina, Simona Halep, and Angelique Kerber are in the top position.
