Jennifer Lawrence Calls it Quits with Chris Martin

Apparently all the happy dinners and family affairs going on between Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his estranged wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, was all too much for the Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence, who has been dating the singer for several months. The couple has split, and even though there is no real reason from either of them as to why their relationship did not work out, there are several reasons that could be behind the split. For one, there’s the age difference. He’s married, even if he is separated, and he’s awfully friendly with his ex. It could be anything. Maybe they had no chemistry. All we do know is that the Academy Award winning actress is the one behind the breakup.

“Jen is the one who broke it off with Chris,” said a friend of the young actress. Lawrence, 24, and Martin, 37, have been spotted together several times in the past few months, even though both recently went through serious breakups. Martin was spotted having a family dinner with his wife, Paltrow, and their two children just last week in Hollywood and sources say the two looked very happy and very close. The couple has announced publicly that they will remain great friends because they are best friends and because of their children.

Lawrence and Martin were spotted together after that dinner, but it seems that they are no longer together after Lawrence mysteriously called it quits with the superstar singer. A 13-year age difference, a couple of kids, a wife who is close enough to enjoy late night dinners with her estranged ex, and a 24-year-old fresh out of a long-term relationship might not have made for the best circumstances for the two, but it appears that their circumstances got the best of them. We bet Paltrow is happy that her husband didn’t introduce Lawrence to their children.
