Carl Froch has revealed he has been offered a seven-figure pay day by David Haye to return to boxing - eights years after hanging up his gloves.

The 46-year-old hasn't fought since knocking out rival George Groves at Wembley in their rematch in May 2014.

But despite his inactivity, Froch has insisted he would welcome an exhibition dust-up against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

A glittering career saw the Nottingham native, who retired with a 33-2 record, win the WBC, WBA and IBF super-middleweight titles.

Froch was in the talkSPORT studio on Tuesday, where host Jim White and Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony hailed his impressive physique.

It led the 'Cobra' to joke he is walking around at 14st - making him eligible to compete in the cruiserweight division - with MacAnthony claiming he could still cause some 'damage'.

White then asked whether Froch is still receiving offers to return to the squared circle - nine years after dispatching Groves.

To which Froch said: "You know what? Yesterday I got a message off my good friend David Haye.

"It was a WhatsApp message saying, 'do you want to fight Christmas time/December? Exhibition, who ever you want'.

"I won't tell you how much money, but it was seven figures, it was in dollars but I said, 'no I need it in sterling'.

"I don't know what he is doing out in Saudi [Arabia] around at Christmas time, but there's been a little offer, so I don't know, there's an exclusive for you!"

Commenting on who he could share a ring with, Froch remarked: "He said to me, 'fight who you want, fight a journeyman, a bum'.

"It's an exhibition underneath whatever is happening, I don't know whether one of these YouTubers like KSI or someone is at the top of the bill.

"And I'm just there to... I don't know! Does the Cobra make up the numbers? I don't think so!"

Asked by MacAnthony whether he would be willing to fight a YouTuber, Froch stated: "Of course I would - especially Jake Paul!

"I'd iron him out. He wouldn't fight me though, would he?"

He continued: "I'd never disrespect the sport and say I'm going to come back and fight somebody who is a real professional fighter.

"Because I retired at 36-years-old for a reason - I couldn't do it anymore! I could have maybe done one or two more if I had really knuckled down."

Froch previously told talkSPORT in May how he doesn't expect to face Paul despite their beef.

But he did admit he'd be willing to trade punches with UFC legend Conor McGregor following a spat with the Irishman earlier this year.
