BTS's comeback is a major success!
Global phenomenon group, BTS, has continued their global music industry take over that began in 2017! This year, we see multiple records being broken by the group alongside awards and history being made. Their new comeback, the Love Yourself Tear album, has made waves on charts around the world, and ultimately signifies that BTS has successfully become the most popular boy group of their time!

This year’s BBMAs is a highlight for the year, so far, for BTS. Not only did BTS once again walk away with the Top Social Artist award, but they also performed their new single, Fake Love, which got many celebrities, critics, commentators and viewers talking! It was a momentous occasion for BTS to perform their new single for the first time, live, on a Western stage which indicated to many that BTS has been able to bridge the language and nationality gaps that often separate the music industries in the West and East. In its first week, ARMYs bought and streamed the album endlessly, and as a result, the album ended up at #1 on over 80 iTunes Album Charts worldwide!
In addition to this, BTS has made major Billboard history in a number of areas. Firstly, BTS made headlines when they were the first group since 2006 to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 with a foreign album that is in another language other than English. After being congratulated by the President of South Korea and the Minister of Culture, Billboard also announced that BTS debuted at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 for their lead single, Fake Love. This was a historical moment for the group as it was the first time that a KPop group ever reached the Top 10. Moreover, they rose to #1 on the Top Artist Chart on Billboard, making it a historical moment for the group as they essentially dominated the main Billboard charts.

Although BTS has been doing exceptionally well in the West, they have also been dominating charts and shows in the East, and in African countries, making them the real global icons that they are.
In countries such as South Africa, BTS’s Fake Love has been playing on radio stations since its release, and the album has debuted at #1 on iTunes, with the song, Fake Love, reaching #1 on Spotify SA’s Top Hits playlist.
Back home in South Korea, BTS has been winning all of the music show competitions thus far with their single, Fake Love. The album was also recorded to have had the highest number of pre-order sales for an album in South Korea.
