Bob Kulick The 70-Year-Old Part-Time Guitarist For Kiss Passes Away

Bob Kulick, the guitarist who toured and worked with the band, KISS, in the recording studio, and on stage, passed away at the age of 70-years-old today, a report from Billboard magazine revealed.

Bob’s brother, Bruce, wrote on his Twitter account that he was “heartbroken” to announce the tragic news. Bruce described his lost brother as having a great “love of music” and his talent both as a producer and as a musician should continue to be celebrated.

Bruce also asked for fans to respect the privacy of his family during this tragic time. At the moment, it’s not clear precisely how he died. Bruce first became associated with the band, KISS, in the early 1970s during an audition, but he was passed over for Ace Frehley.

Despite that fact, Kulick worked for the band on a number of albums including on the 1978 solo record from Paul Stanley. KISS also commemorated the death of Kulick on their Twitter account, stating that they were sending their “condolences.”

Kulick not only worked with the legendary 1970s band, but he also played with Lou Reed on Coney Island Baby, as well as in Meat Loaf’s traveling band, Neverland Express. His contributions spanned even further to records from the band, W.A.S.P., as well as the song, “Sweet Victory,” for the legendary series, Spongebob Squarepants.
